WHAT IS TIXELLLORA® MEDIFACIAL?

Tixelllora® MediFacial uses a small heated metal plate with multiple tiny heated cones passed over the face and neck, delivering short bursts of heat energy directly to the skin’s surface without damaging deeper skin tissues. By creating tiny injuries in the skin, these treatments trigger a natural healing response to stimulate new collagen and elastin growth. These are the proteins that keep our skin strong and flexible. The wound-healing process also involves increased production of growth factors that assist in the formation of new skin tissue. HOW ​TIXELLLORA® MEDIFACIAL WORKS? 

Tixelllora® Medifacial tightens the skin (dermis) and improves fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, dilated pores, and acne scars.

  • It regenerates the skin (epidermis) and produces an even skin tone, reduces pigmentation and other blemishes to produce a glow on your skin.
  • Tixelllora® Medifacial is used to create tiny pores in the skin to allow the penetration of our well-known CIGF™️ through the skin. This will enhance the reduction of skin pigmentation and increase collagen production.

MOTION & HEAT: THE ULTIMATE COMBINATION

TMA® is a specially developed forward-thinking technology that uniquely combines motion and heat with the forward movement of a medical-grade titanium tip. This proprietary non-laser fractional technology transfers thermal energy to skin very quickly and safely: energy is emitted through a matrix of tiny pyramid-shaped pins made of biocompatible materials covering a treatment area of 1cm². The pins are heated to a temperature of 400°C and are self-sterilized.

THERMAL EFFECT

During procedure, the pins are introduced to the surface of the skin at a precisely-controlled speed and create brief contact with the skin lasting only a few milliseconds. This enables the thermal energy stored in the pins to be transferred to the skin. The thermal transfer results in an array of tiny non-ablative coagulation sites. Because the tiny tip pyramids hold a limited amount of energy, burns and tissue charring are prevented.

RELATIVELY LOW PAIN

The reason why pain is relatively low during treatment with Tixelllora® MediFacial compared to the ablative CO₂ laser is primarily due to the transfer of a relatively lower amount of energy to the skin by Tixelllora® MediFacial. This is made possible by utilization of a more efficient energy transfer method (conduction vs. radiation) and the longer pulse duration (e.g. 10ms vs. 1ms) of Tixelllora® MediFacial as compared to the CO₂ laser.

ENHANCED SKIN PERMEABILITY

Research shows that TMA™ creates superficial channels in the stratum corneum, allowing enhanced permeability to topically applied hydrophilic substances, that are applied after treatment. Tixelllora® MediFacial’s intended use does not currently include tissue permeability enhancement.

2. How many treatments do I need?
The number of treatments you need will depend on your individual needs. More severe skin conditions may require more treatments. Your consultant will discuss this with you during your initial visit.
A course of 3 – 6 sessions spaced one month apart is generally recommended. Regular maintenance will be required after that with a procedure every 6 – 12 months.

3. Does Tixelllora® MediFacial hurt?
There may be a feeling of heat, similar to sunburn, during the treatment. Most patients find it uncomfortable but tolerable. In some cases, topical anaesthetic cream will be used to reduce any discomfort. The downtime following the procedure is minimal.

4. How long do Tixelllora® MediFacial results last?
The results from the Tixelllora® MediFacial can last up to 2 years.

5. Can Tixelllora® MediFacial  be combined with other MEDIFACIALS?
Tixelllora® MediFacial can be combined with a number of other skin rejuvenation MediFacials. Tixelllora® MediFacial can also be combined with our Celllora® skincare, to improve their absorption and provide enhanced results.
